King Oyo passed away on Thursday, August 27, 2026, at the age of 34, according to an official announcement from the Tooro Kingdom. His passing has been described as an immeasurable loss to the Royal Family, the people of Tooro, and Uganda.
On behalf of the WooNam News family, we extend our deepest and most heartfelt condolences to Her Majesty the Queen Mother, the Tooro Royal Family, the leadership of Tooro Kingdom, and all the people of Tooro during this difficult time of mourning.
